Alongside Diego Damas, she participated in several events during the Venice Biennale with the GLAC group. Her work has been exhibited in Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Venezuela, Peru, and the United States.
Arvelo’s recent works explore the interdisciplinary territory of dance performance and photography, establishing a profound dialogue between art and nature. Her practice incorporates primitive activities such as planting, harvesting, digging, and drawing on the earth, aiming to reconnect the viewer with their ancestral roots.
Performance is the catalyst in Arvelo’s creative journey, serving as the initial spark that ignites a body of work encompassing photographs, sculptures, and installations. Her art is a call for introspection on cultural identity, the delicate balance between nature and humanity, and the power of collective experiences.
